Quick FAQ
How do I get to Sachsenring from Leipzig or Chemnitz?
Regional trains run from Leipzig and Chemnitz to Hohenstein-Ernstthal station (about 1.5 hours from Leipzig, 20-25 minutes from Chemnitz). The circuit is a 15-20 minute walk from the station.
Can I camp at Sachsenring?
Yes. Several campsites open around the circuit for race weekend. P10 allows motorhome/campervan camping. Camping is popular and the atmosphere is lively. Book ahead.
What time do gates open?
Gates open at 06:00 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The free shuttle from P12 parking starts at 05:00.
Is there parking at the circuit?
P12 (Gersdorf) is the main free car park with a shuttle to the circuit. P11 and P10 are closer but paid and must be pre-booked. Expect post-race traffic delays on Sunday.
