Where to sit at the Sachsenring — and what you will actually see
Grandstand Comparison
T2 "So Geht Sächsisch"
Turn 1 — first-corner braking zone
Best for overtaking and race starts
The largest grandstand on the circuit, positioned at the first-corner braking zone after the start/finish straight. Riders arrive at full speed and brake hard into the first left-hander. This is where the most dramatic overtaking happens, especially on lap 1 and in the final laps. The elevation gives views across the following Omega section.
Pros
- + Best overtaking spot on the circuit
- + Largest grandstand — great atmosphere
- + Elevated view across Omega section
- + Electric atmosphere on lap 1
Cons
- – Sells out early — book as soon as tickets open
- – Direct afternoon sun on hot July days
- – Premium pricing
T10 "Schilderwerk Beutha"
Turns 10-11 — the Waterfall section
Best for dramatic terrain action
Near the Sachsenring's signature Waterfall section — a steep downhill plunge unique on the MotoGP calendar. Riders drop elevation rapidly while turning, loading the front tyre under extreme braking. Mistakes and overtakes happen here more than anywhere else. One of the most sought-after grandstands — sells out fastest.
Pros
- + The circuit's signature section
- + Where mistakes and overtakes happen
- + Unique dramatic viewing angle
- + Good photo opportunities from the elevation
Cons
- – Sells out first — often unavailable

T13 "Dekra" (Sachsenkurve)
Turns 12-13 — uphill exit onto main straight
Favourite of regulars — great value
Overlooks the Sachsenkurve at Turns 12-13, where riders climb uphill and accelerate onto the start/finish straight. This is where lap time is made or lost — riders who nail the exit carry speed all the way to Turn 1. A favourite of experienced fans for the combination of action, atmosphere, and value.
Pros
- + Excellent value compared to T2 or T10
- + Decisive corner for lap time
- + Spectacular downhill view from Grosse Kuppe

T15 "Besico"
Last turn before the main straight
Last-corner overtaking + video wall
The last corner before the pit straight. Last-lap battles often get decided here — riders must commit to make a pass stick before the line. Features a 50 sqm video wall so you can follow the full race between live action. Close to the pit straight energy and podium celebrations.
Pros
- + Last-corner overtaking drama
- + 50 sqm video wall for full race coverage
- + Electric atmosphere near pit straight
- + Good value
Cons
