Grand Prix of San Marino

Packing Guide

What to bring to Misano World Circuit in September

September Adriatic Weather

~25°C

Average daytime high

Cooler

Evenings drop off noticeably — bring a layer

Mid-September on the Adriatic coast is generally described as mild, late-summer weather — pleasant during the day, cooler once the sun goes down.

Essentials — Do Not Forget

Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat

September on the Adriatic coast still gets consistent sun. You are exposed on grandstands and GA areas for hours — reapply at midday.

A light jacket or layer

Days average around 25°C, but evenings cool down noticeably. A packable layer covers you for the walk back after the sun drops.

Comfortable walking shoes

There is no parking at the circuit, so however you arrive, expect a 10-20 minute walk from your transport drop-off to the gates.

Foam or loop earplugs

Standard advice for any MotoGP weekend — the bikes are louder up close than TV prepares you for. Loop earplugs let you keep the atmosphere while protecting your hearing.

Refillable water bottle — kept open

Plastic bottles are allowed inside the circuit but must be open, not sealed. Bring a bottle you can refill rather than a fresh sealed one for the gate.

Printed or screenshotted ticket

A backup for your ticket is sensible at any circuit with a big weekend crowd and a single shuttle corridor in from Rimini or Riccione.

Pack for the Beach Too

Most fans combine this race with a stay in Rimini, Riccione, or Cattolica — genuinely one of the few circuits on the calendar where beach gear belongs on the packing list.

Swimwear and a beach towel

Misano is one of the few circuits on the calendar where most fans are also on a beach holiday. If you are staying in Rimini, Riccione, or Cattolica, you will want beach gear for the non-race hours, not just race-day kit.

Sandals or flip-flops for the seafront

Separate from your circuit walking shoes — useful for the beach and the Rimini seafront promenade in the evenings.

A light change of clothes for the evening

If you are combining a beach afternoon with a Rimini or Riccione evening out, packing a change of clothes for after the sand and sun is worth it.

Nice to Have

Folding chair (GA areas only)

Sun umbrellas and camping/folding chairs are allowed in general admission areas, but not in grandstands, and only if they do not block others' views.

Small binoculars

Useful for the corners furthest from your seat, particularly if you are in one of the Prato GA areas between Turns 7 and 9.

Small cash backup

No Misano-specific guidance was found on cash vs card at the circuit — carrying a small amount of cash as backup is a reasonable general precaution.

Prohibited Items

Food is capped at roughly 500g per person and sealed plastic bottles are not allowed — only open ones. These items are confiscated at the security check. Do not bring:

  • Glass, metal, or wood containers
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Drones
  • Flares, smoke bombs, or other pyrotechnics
  • Knives or other sharp objects
  • Animals (check for an assistance-animal exception before travel)
  • Bicycles, scooters, or other personal transport devices
  • Professional cameras with large interchangeable lenses
