Essentials — Do Not Forget

Waterproof jacket

Dutch weather in late June is unpredictable. Rain can arrive without warning. A lightweight waterproof layer is non-negotiable.

Sunscreen (SPF 30+)

When the sun comes out, you are exposed on the grandstands and GA areas for hours. The Dutch summer sun is deceptively strong.

Layers

Mornings can be 13-15°C, afternoons 20-22°C. Dress in layers you can add or remove throughout the day.

Comfortable walking shoes

The circuit is compact but you will still walk 5-8 km over the day. Grass areas can be muddy after rain — don't wear your best trainers.

Power bank

Phone signal gets congested with 100,000+ fans. Your phone works harder searching for signal, draining battery fast.

Ear protection

MotoGP bikes are loud — especially from grandstands near the straight. Bring foam earplugs or loop earplugs.

Printed ticket (backup)

Mobile tickets work well in the Netherlands, but a printed backup saves you if your phone dies or signal fails at the gate.

Refillable water bottle

Bring a plastic water bottle to refill at water points inside the circuit. Check current rules on caps — some events require sport-top bottles.

Small cash backup (€20-30)

The Netherlands is very card-friendly, but having a small amount of cash as backup for the rare cash-only vendor is sensible.

Nice to Have

Camping chair (GA areas only)

If you have a general admission ticket, a lightweight folding chair makes the day more comfortable. Not allowed in grandstands.

Small binoculars

Useful for watching far corners and spotting rider numbers.

Wellies or waterproof shoes

If rain is forecast, the grass areas around the circuit turn muddy fast. Wellies are a common sight at the Dutch TT.

Sunglasses

Essential on sunny days — long hours outdoors with no shelter.

Snacks

Food inside the circuit is available but queues build up between sessions. Bringing energy bars or sandwiches saves time.

Camping Extras

If you are camping at one of the circuit campsites, add these to your packing list.

Proper waterproof tent

Not a cheap festival tent. Dutch rain in June can be persistent — you need something that keeps you dry overnight.

Warm sleeping bag

Nights can drop to 10-12°C in late June. A 3-season sleeping bag is the minimum.

Bike lock

If you are cycling, secure your bike at the campsite and at the circuit.

Earplugs for sleeping

The campsite party runs late. You will need earplugs to sleep, especially at Mandeveen.

Cooking supplies

Gas stove, basic cookware, plates. Campsite food is available but cooking saves money over the weekend.

Prohibited Items

These will be confiscated at the security check. Do not bring:

  • Glass containers
  • Alcohol brought from outside
  • Drones
  • Fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics
  • Professional cameras with detachable lenses (check circuit policy)
  • Large umbrellas, parasols, or tents (small collapsible umbrella OK)
  • Weapons, sharp objects, tools
  • Animals (except registered assistance dogs)
  • Scooters, skateboards
