Getting to the MotoGP Grand Prix of San Marino at Misano World Circuit

Grand Prix of San Marino

Getting to Misano

There's no circuit parking — here's what actually gets you there

Misano World Circuit has no dedicated car park. Every route in this guide involves basing yourself in Rimini, Riccione, or Cattolica and covering the last stretch by train, shuttle, bus, or the little train from the Simoncelli roundabout.

Airports

RMIRimini Federico Fellini Airport

~12 km / ~15 min taxi to Rimini hotels

Pros: The closest airport to the circuit and to most fans' seaside accommodation in Rimini.

Cons: Primarily seasonal and charter flights, with some European summer routes — limited compared to a major hub.

BLQBologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport

~120 km / ~2 hours by car

Pros: A major Ryanair hub with direct flights to most European capitals — the more reliable option for international fans.

Cons: Considerably further out — factor in a 2-hour transfer on top of your flight.

Getting to the Circuit

Train + last-mile shuttle

  • — Misano Adriatico station is the closest, about 2 km from the circuit — a 5-minute drive or roughly 20-minute walk
  • — Regional trains from Rimini to Misano Adriatico take about 15 minutes
  • — Some sources cite Cattolica-San Giovanni-Gabicce station, about 5 km from the circuit, as an alternate stop — both are plausible depending on your route
  • — From either station, cover the last stretch by shuttle bus or the local bus routes below

Race-weekend shuttle bus

  • — A shuttle service runs from Misano rail station and from Riccione to the circuit on race weekend
  • — Public bus route 55 also serves the circuit from Riccione/Misano, and route 124 from Rimini
  • — A separate "little train" shuttle connects Misano town centre — departing from the Simoncelli roundabout — to the circuit at roughly 15-minute intervals for a €5 single journey
  • — Exact shuttle bus pricing and timetables were not confirmed at time of writing — check the official race-week schedule closer to the date

Driving — but not all the way to the circuit

  • — There is no dedicated parking at Misano World Circuit itself
  • — Official and tourism-board guidance is to drive to Rimini or Riccione and use public transport or the shuttle for the final leg
  • — Do not plan on parking at the gate and walking straight in — this circuit does not work that way

Where to Stay

Rimini

~15 km to circuit

Seafront B&Bs and 3-4 star hotels — the main base for most fans, and the town with the strongest race-weekend atmosphere on Saturday night.

Riccione

Shuttle/bus route 55 to circuit

A more upscale seaside alternative to Rimini, also served directly by the race-weekend shuttle and bus route 55.

Cattolica

Near Cattolica-San Giovanni-Gabicce station

A quieter seaside option, and close to the alternate train station some sources cite for the circuit.

Camping — Beach Style, Not Trackside

Misano doesn't have the trackside camping culture you'll find at Mugello or Aragon. The camping options here are seaside holiday sites, not circuit-adjacent race camping.

Camping Village Misano

A seaside holiday campsite with a pool and direct beach access, close to the circuit. This is beach camping, not circuit-adjacent race camping — no confirmed pricing found.

Villaggio Mithos / Riviera Village

Family-oriented seaside site with a pool, restaurant, and a mix of pitches, mobile homes, and bungalows. Again, a beach holiday campsite rather than trackside race camping — no confirmed pricing found.
