Essentials — Do Not Forget

Sunscreen (SPF 30+)

Late June sun in Central Europe is strong. Many viewing areas are open hillside with no shade. You will burn if unprotected.

Hat or cap

Limited shade at most grandstands and GA hillside areas. A wide brim helps more than a baseball cap.

Plastic water bottle (up to 1 litre)

Only plastic bottles allowed inside. One bottle up to 1 litre per person. No glass or metal containers.

Rain jacket or poncho

June weather in Brno is unpredictable — warm sunshine can turn to heavy rain within an hour. A lightweight waterproof is essential.

Comfortable walking shoes

The circuit has 73 metres of elevation change. Moving between grandstands involves genuine hill walking on grass and gravel. Trainers or hiking shoes — not sandals.

Power bank

Phone signal struggles on Sunday with tens of thousands of fans on the same towers. Your phone works harder, draining battery faster.

Printed ticket

Brno requires printed e-tickets. Digital versions on phone screens may be rejected at the gate. Print before you travel.

Czech Koruna (CZK) cash

Food stalls at the circuit often prefer cash. The currency is CZK, not Euro. Withdraw from city ATMs before race day.

Ear protection

MotoGP bikes are genuinely loud — especially from hillside spots near fast sections. Foam earplugs cost almost nothing and save you from ringing ears all evening.

Nice to Have

Folding camping chair (natural grandstand only)

Allowed in the natural grandstand (banked grassy areas) for GA ticket holders. Not permitted in built grandstands.

Small binoculars

The circuit is long (5.4 km) and some corners are distant from viewing areas. Binoculars help spot rider numbers and braking points.

Warm layer for morning

June mornings can be 12-13°C in Brno before the afternoon sun arrives. A hoodie or light fleece makes early sessions more comfortable.

Small snack

A small amount of personal food is allowed. Circuit food is available but queues build on race day. Bring an energy bar or sandwich.

Prohibited Items

These will be confiscated at the security check. Do not bring:

  • Alcohol (any type)
  • Glass containers
  • Metal containers
  • Beverages other than water
  • Drones and remote aircraft
  • Open flames and pyrotechnics
  • Tents and beach shelters
  • Weapons and dangerous objects
  • Professional cameras with detachable lenses (standard cameras OK)
