Getting to the MotoGP Grand Prix of Aragon at MotorLand Aragón

Grand Prix of Aragon

Getting to Aragon

No direct train to the circuit — here's how to plan the transfer

MotorLand Aragón is one of the more remote circuits on the calendar. There's no direct train to the circuit or to Alcañiz — every route in this guide goes through Zaragoza (or, as a closer alternative, Caspe) with a bus, shuttle, or drive for the last leg.

Airports

ZAZZaragoza Airport

~115-120km / ~1.5hr drive via A-68/N-232

Pros: The nearest airport to the circuit and also the region's rail hub, so it doubles as your transport base for the weekend.

Cons: Limited flight selection — mostly Ryanair, Vueling, and Wizz Air on European routes. Long-haul travelers will likely connect through elsewhere first.

BCN / VLCBarcelona or Valencia

Considerably farther than Zaragoza

Pros: Far more international routes and long-haul connections than Zaragoza.

Cons: Both airports add significant extra travel time and a connection on to Zaragoza or the circuit — only worth it if Zaragoza doesn't have your route.

Getting to the Circuit

Train to Zaragoza, then onward

  • — No direct train to MotorLand or Alcañiz — Zaragoza is the nearest station
  • — Zaragoza is well connected via Spain's AVE high-speed rail: about 1.5 hours from Madrid or Barcelona
  • — From Zaragoza, take an Alsa bus to Alcañiz (about 2 hours) or the Hife shuttle service laid on specifically for MotoGP weekend
  • — Caspe (28-33km from the circuit) is an alternate, closer station reachable from major Spanish cities — bus or taxi onward from there

Free Alcañiz–circuit shuttle

  • — A free shuttle bus runs between Alcañiz town and the circuit on race weekend
  • — Traveler reports consistently confirm it runs reliably and is heavily used
  • — Timetable is released closer to the event — don't plan your exact departure time around it too far in advance

Driving

  • — Parking is free for all ticket holders — no separate parking ticket needed
  • — Zaragoza to the circuit is about 1.5 hours via the A-68 and N-232
  • — A car gives the most flexibility for a genuinely remote circuit, especially if you're not basing yourself in Alcañiz

Where to Stay

Alcañiz

10-15 min drive to circuit

Closest town to the circuit. Small with limited hotel inventory — books up fast. Its own charm: the Castillo de los Calatravos and Santa María la Mayor church.

Caspe

~30 min to circuit

Historic town on the Ebro River. Generally easier to find accommodation than Alcañiz during race weekend, and doubles as an alternate train station.

Zaragoza

~90 min to circuit

The region's largest city — most hotel capacity and nightlife, and the transport hub everything else in this guide routes through. Trade-off is the longer daily commute.

Camping

Camping MotorLand

The official circuit campsite, a short walk from the entrance. Pitches for tents and campervans, with restrooms, showers, and food stalls.

Acampada MotoGP Aragón

1,361 pitches across 3 areas close to the circuit, catering to cars, motorcycles, campers, and trailers.

Camping La Estanca

About 500m from the circuit, lakeside on the Estanca reservoir — a more relaxed setting with shaded pitches.

Camper Park Alcañiz

A motorhome/camper area with water and waste disposal. Confirm current hookup availability and access hours before you go.
